It's called a "cap" sitar because it has a visor (with no cardboard reinforcement) that hides the eyes without blocking visibility: it's the principle of seeing without being seen!
Why the cap?
Thanks to its visor, the cap niqab has the advantage of concealing the eyes while leaving the view ahead unobstructed. It also encourages you to lower your gaze, as visibility in front is less than with a classic sitar.
It comes with 3 light, easy-to-wear veils that allow you to obtain either the niqab or the sitar:
1_First of all, there's the first long veil, which has to be put on behind.
2_Then there's the second, shorter veil, with an opening to reveal the eyes and thus form the niqab. It has a cord between the eyes to hold it in place and prevent it from falling back.
3_Finally, there's the last veil: you can put it behind to leave only the niqab, or fold it down in front to create a sitar and hide the whole face.
