Stunning Colours
This was my first time buying a Umm Hafsa 1 piece Jilbab. I bought it on two colours — Bordeaux and Duck Blue. Both absolutely stunning colours.
I really wanted to love this Jilbab, as I’ve bought their 2 piece ‘Big Jilbab’ before and Alhamdulillah I’ve loved them. Sadly, they fell short.
The Cons:
My main problem area is length. Granted it’s sleeve length. I got one of the biggest sizes as I’m tall — 5’9/176cm so my arm length corresponds with that.
And I have to say the sleeve were just a bit too short. Thankfully if I take off the finger loops I can still wear it — it’s shoes about 2cm of my wrists.
But the finger loops were one of the things I was looking forward to the most so I won’t lie and say I wasn’t a bit disappointed.
With the finger loops of it looks comical and yanks on my head from the top of the Jilbab.
I’ll probably have to get it a bit adjusted but otherwise it’s fine.
The Pros:
Absolutely stunning colour choices - evenly dyed. The colours are so pretty and suit both summer and winter season.
Fully opaque — so no worries of accidental exposure.
Lovely light fabric so it catches the breeze nicely and keeps you cool in the summer. And is perfect for layering in the winter.
Longer at the back so you’re less likely to trip/ step on it. Which makes a huge difference honestly, especially as I’m planning or wearing it in the winter with some warm winter boots.
All in all I’d give it a 3.5–4 stars out 5
